Employment Opportunity - Director of Development Position Open

We (MRH) are inviting applications for the position of Director of Development. The position will be responsible for directing the MRH Development Program that includes Annual Fund Gifts, Estate Planning, Capital Campaigns, Foundation Grants and Special Events. He/she will work closely with the President and Development Council to devise strategies and programs that will strengthen over-all stewardship and giving to sustain and advance the mission of Malvern. The ideal candidate is a leader who is mission- and goal-oriented and a self-starter. He/she should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Development field, preferably in a leadership capacity. We look for a proven ability to obtain major gifts, strong interpersonal skills, a high level of energy and the ability to communicate the MRH mission, vision and values to an existing member/donor base and prospective donors. A Bachelor’s degree is required; experience in planned giving and major gift solicitation is desired. He/she must have outstanding organizational skills with the proven ability to meet long- and short-term fiscal goals. Excellent computer skills and familiarity with planned giving software will be helpful. Currently, MRH uses Results Plus software. The ability to communicate, lead, motivate and inspire the leadership and volunteer base to a higher level of stewardship and support for the mission of Malvern is a vital component to this position.
