this Catholic retreat house
nestled in the woods. Malvern Retreat House is known for its
Catholic retreats for men, women, families, married couples, youth,
religious and clergy starting on Friday evening and ending on Sunday
morning. Many of our retreats are hosted in the beautiful McShain-Horstmann
Family Life Center,
directed by seasoned Catholic retreat directors. Unlike the Main
Retreat House, the schedule is customized for each retreat. Special
talks, liturgies, Reconciliation, adoration and quiet time are provided
according to the desires of the retreat director. You may
choose
to spend quiet time taking a walk, praying the Stations of the Cross on
our newly dedicated path, sitting on a cedar bench in the meditation
garden or, participating in the retreat schedule. The choice
is
yours! You may choose to come alone or, if you desire, bring
a
loved one, friend or neighbor.

The Theology of the Body Institute
Proudly Presents
Catholic Sexual Ethics
Taught by Dr. Janet Smith with special lectures by Christopher West,
the week long retreat includes: Five days of learning and
interactive lecture, daily Mass, Eucharistic adoration, Reconciliation
and quiet time. Based on the classic book by the late Pope
John Paul II, Love and Responsibility, this course will examine the
philosophy of the human person and human sexuality that undergirds John
Paul II's theology of the body. Themes will include the
meaning of the personalistic norm, sexual attraction as the raw
material of love, male and female differences, conscious parenthood,
shame, and the true nature of chastity as a virtue.
