Call for Artists

Art Show 2018

Malvern Retreat House has announced a call for artists for its juried 2018 Art Show. The event is one of the region’s largest art shows, featuring about 100 juried fine artists each year.

Show Dates: Wednesday, February, 7 – Sunday, February 11, 2018. A Wine & Cheese event will be held Thursday, February 8.

Art Forms: Painting, Sculpture, Ceramic, Photography, Jewelry, Metalwork, Fiber Art, Glass Art and Woodturning. The 2018 show will include an EarthWorks exhibit.

Who Participates: The jury generally accepts about 100 successful artists for the show. Past participants have included an artist who won a grant from the Gates Foundation to create a mural in Seattle, an Emmy award winning animator and graphic designer, and an artist voted among the Top 5 most influential artists by Business 2 Business magazine.

Where: Malvern Retreat House, 315 S. Warren Avenue, Malvern 19355. Malvern Retreat House is the nation’s oldest and largest Catholic retreat house.

Proceeds: The 2017 show brought in gross revenues of about $100,000 with hundreds of pieces sold at the show. 35% of the proceeds benefit Malvern Retreat House. Artists retain the remainder of their proceeds from sales
