President’s Message

Mary proclaimed, “My spirit rejoices in God my Savior.” (Luke 1:47)
Over the past several months, my spirit transformed from being downcast and heavily burdened to rejoicing as I experienced your generosity, and that of many others who pushed us close to our MALVERN FORWARD! goal of raising $1.2 million by the end of the year. As of today, we are only $60,000 short, but I firmly believe we will meet and surpass our goal. Many people did not believe it would be possible, but you proved them wrong!
Your love and support of Malvern Retreat House poured through in an amazing way. In only six months we achieved the “impossible”. That is evidence that we should never underestimate the providence of our God. Your response to God’s nudge proved that “Together we can. With God’s grace, we will!”
While 2020 has been an extraordinarily challenging year, Malvern Retreat House remains strong. We feel crushed, but we are not destroyed. God is so good to us! As Advent ends and Christmas comes, your response to MALVERN FORWARD! is the greatest gift I could have received this year. Your faithfulness and generosity proves that all things are possible for those that trust in the Lord. Like Mary, we rejoice in the gift of Jesus, our God and Savior; our Light, our Joy, our Hope, our Peace! Love makes all things new!
