Speaker

Father James McGuinn

Father Jim is the Son of Eddie and Mary McGuinn, both of whom were born in Ireland.  He has one brother, three sisters, and lots of nieces and nephews.  He grew up in Philadelphia, went to college in Massachusetts, and lived for a year in a monastery in Pittsburgh.  He attended St. Charles Borromeo seminary in Wynnewood, PA. and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in 1988.  He has been a parochial vicar, a high school teacher and chaplain, the director of the Newman ministries at two universities and a pastor.  He is the author and founder of CONNECTIONS, which is a new process that inspires and equips Catholics to grow in their faith and be fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.  He loves Catholic evangelization, helping parishes achieve their redemptive potential,and forming leaders.

Retreat Director

Fr. Matthew Tralies

Fr. Matthew Tralies has been ordained for 12 years and he is currently the Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi in Springfield, PA. Previous assignments include: St. Bede the Venerable in Holland, Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Fairless Hills and St. Robert Bellarmine in Warrington.

Originally, from West Norriton, Montgomery County, Fr. Tralies and grew-up attending Visitation BVM in Trooper. He attended Kennedy-Kenrick High school in Norristown and received his degree in Political Science from Villanova University prior to entering the seminary in 2003.

He is the youngest of three boys and feels blessed that both of his parents are still living. He is grateful for his family and friends and likes to spend his free time traveling to explore new places.

Speaker

Nick Gibboni

Nick Gibboni was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania where he attended Lower Moreland schools. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work with a Minor in Music from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.

Nick has served as Executive Director of the National Centre for Padre Pio in Barto, Pennsylvania since 2018. Prior to this, he worked for seven years as Director of Operations and later Director of Development for the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal and the Miraculous Medal Shrine in Philadelphia. Earlier in his career, he also gained experience in the field of Catholic Development while working as the Stewardship Coordinator for the Diocese of Trenton, New Jersey.

Nick has enjoyed serving as a Pre-Cana marriage preparation team member, Extraordinary Minster of the Eucharist, and a youth basketball and baseball coach. He and his wife Nicole are enjoying raising their two sons in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. His personal interests include studying Catholic theology and apologetics, art history, music history, and playing the piano.

Marty Rotella

Marty Rotella is a singer, songwriter, evangelist who presents music and message to diverse audiences. He has presented the Gospel message of Jesus’s love in forty-three states in addition to Australia, Europe, Central and South America and Canada. With over thirty years of ministry through teaching and motivational speaking, he has presented in churches, schools, conferences, and prisons.

As a three-time Grammy nominee, Marty integrates his gift of music with his unique preaching style to men, women, young adults and teens. Countless endorsements from bishops and clergy, religious, families and prison inmates comprise his repertoire. As a noted evangelist, Marty delivers a compelling message of Jesus’ love, forgiveness and mercy to all who encounter him.

“Spirit Power” is his trademark platform for music and evangelization; bringing the fire of God’s love to retreat houses, conferences, parishes and, most notably, to the streets.
