Malvern Retreat House along with the Office for Persons with Disabilities and The Deaf Apostolate, is pleased to hold this is three day, two night Christian Retreat for Adults with Disabilities. The retreat will give men and women the opportunity to discover, renew or increase their faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through the intercession of his Blessed Mother “Our Lady of Confidence.” The retreat is geared for adults’ with intellectual, physical, emotional, social or economic disabilities. Various religious, spiritual and social activities will be conducted in a serene environment within comfortable, accessible facilities.
This retreat is supported by generous donations from Malvern Retreat House and others.

Retreat Director
Fr. Michael Speziale

Fr. Speziale was ordained to the priesthood in 2009. Previously, he attended St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a Master of Divinity degree. He taught Theology at Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor and in 2021 was assigned as Parochial Administrator of St. Ephrem parish.

Rev. Msgr. Richard Bolger

Rev. Msgr. Richard Bolger is the Pastor Emeritus of St. David Church in Willow Grove, PA. Rev. Msgr. Bolger has been in the priesthood for more than 43 years, and says that serving people as a priest is what he has always wanted to do with his life. While at St. David Church, Rev. Msgr. Bolger worked with the parish’s parochial school as well as Our Lady of Confidence Day School, which is a program for 4 to 15-year-olds who are mentally challenged or developmentally delayed.
Retreat Director
Fr. Steve Surovic, SJ

A native of Voorhees, NJ and a graduate of Eastern Regional High School, Fr. Surovick received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Scranton and a Master’s in Public Administration from Rutgers University Camden before joining the Jesuits in 2003 (he was ordained in 2013). While in formation, he received a degree in Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago, a Masters in Divinity and a license in sacred theology from Boston College.
