Retreat Directors and Speakers

Retreat Director

Father James McGuinn

Father Jim is the Son of Eddie and Mary McGuinn, both of whom were born in Ireland.  He has one brother, three sisters, and lots of nieces and nephews.  He grew up in Philadelphia, went to college in Massachusetts, and lived for a year in a monastery in Pittsburgh.  He attended St. Charles Borromeo seminary in Wynnewood, PA. and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in 1988.  He has been a parochial vicar, a high school teacher and chaplain, the director of the Newman ministries at two universities and a pastor.  He is the author and founder of CONNECTIONS, which is a new process that inspires and equips Catholics to grow in their faith and be fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.  He loves Catholic evangelization, helping parishes achieve their redemptive potential, and forming leaders.

Retreat Director

Rob Longo

Rob and his wife Megan are blessed to have five awesome kids ranging from 19 to 10 years old. After 33 years of checking the box when it came to his faith, Rob surrendered his life to the Lord on December 31, 2003. The age that Jesus died for his life Rob gave his life back to God. After 17 years serving in various sales and marketing roles in large, mid-size and start-up healthcare companies, Rob transitioned into full-time ministry when he helped start Stewardship: A Mission of Faith where He now serves as co-founder and Mission Ambassador. Faith and family are the two most important things in Rob’s life and he is all in for both!

Retreat Director

Dan Tarrant

Dan has been married to his wife Joanne for over fifteen years and is the father of three adopted children, two from Uganda and one from Philadelphia. Dan and Joanne’s story of how God led them to each of their children is a truly powerful and inspiring one about how a personal relationship with God and obedience to Catholic teaching will lead you to a love you would otherwise have never known. As a father in a biracial family, Dan is especially in awe of how God has made his dinner table a place where in many ways the sons and daughters of former slaves and former slave owners sit together at the table of fellowship as Martin Luther King dreamed. However, Dan shares his story with great honesty and humor revealing that being a dad for Christ in his house is not always so dreamy! Dan’s journey as a father is a reminder that God’s plans are always greater than our own and that a personal relationship with God, while not always easy, is always worth it.
