All Young Adults are Invited

All young adults are invited to Malvern Retreat House for a discernment retreat with Fr. Stephen DeLacy, vicar for the Archdiocesan Office of Faith Formation of Youth and Young Adults in Philadelphia. In this retreat, participants will be instructed in a process of discerning God’s will for their lives through the Church’s gift of Ignatian Spirituality. This process of discernment will be helpful for those discerning work, relationships, marriage, priesthood or religious life. Those new or unfamiliar with vocational discernment are strongly encouraged to attend.

The weekend will include nightly Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the celebration of Holy Mass, Liturgy of the Hours, opportunity for Confession and Spiritual Direction, free time to socialize and enjoy the beauty of Malvern, a night bonfire and s’mores!  Come be renewed in your faith in fellowship with other young adults and spend time in prayerful discernment on how to make decisions in these challenging times and embrace God’s invitation to live your life to the fullest. There is immeasurable peace and joy when you know you are doing God’s will.

“It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness; He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; He is the beauty to which you are so attracted; it is He who provoked you with that thirst for fullness that will not let you settle for compromise; it is He who urges you to shed the masks of a false life; it is He who reads in your hearts your most genuine choices, the choices that others try to stifle.”

St. John Paul II

Financial Support:

This retreat is being offered to young adults at a reduced rate of $165 per person due to the generosity of a donor.  Scholarship is available for those in need of further assistance.  The full cost of this retreat is $210.  For those who can afford to do so, please consider paying the full amount, or one in accordance with your means, to offset the cost of those who are in need, so that we as a community may provide for each other and supply the means for all to attend.  Thank you in advance for your generosity.
