A Retreat for Young Adults in their 20s and 30s

Young Adults in their 20s and 30s are invited to Malvern Retreat House for a weekend retreat with Fr. Pochomius Walker, O.P. and the Sisters of Life on the universal Call to Holiness.

Fr. Pochimius, a Dominican priest, will focus on three unique calls to holiness from the lives of Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati, St. Therese of Lisieux, and Bl. Miguel Pro, and discuss how they can help us pursue a life of purpose and navigate with grace the unique challenges of our time. The retreat will include Holy Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Praise & Worship, Confession, group discussion, meals and lodging, time for quiet reflection and walking the grounds, a bonfire, holy fellowship and s’mores! Slow down, spend time with the Saints, and be renewed on the peaceful and beautiful grounds of St. Joseph’s-in-the-Hills! Prosit!

Retreat Director

Fr. Pochomius Walker O.P.

Fr. Pachomius Walker grew up near Nashville, TN with five brothers.  He attended Vanderbilt University during which time he was received into full communion with the Catholic Church through the campus ministry and was confirmed at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Nashville.  After a brief time working, he attended seminary for three years.  During this time, he met the Order and was introduced to the writings of St. Thomas Aquinas.  Through this experience, he discerned an invitation to be a Dominican.  “My desire to be a Dominican is ultimately founded upon my desire to be holy and truly happy.  I am convinced that true happiness lies in being a son of God and, in a particular way for me, a son of St. Dominic.”
