Ezekiel 34:15-16

I myself will pasture my sheep;
I myself will give them rest, says the Lord GOD.
The lost I will seek out,
the strayed I will bring back,
the injured I will bind up,
the sick I will heal.

Reflect: The heart of our God is overflowing with compassion and love. We have a Savior, Jesus Christ, who will never tire searching for us and calling us back, binding up our wounds, or healing our brokenness.  Jesus desires nothing more than to love us – for us to find peace, security and rest in him. The heart of Jesus is our refuge in a world inclined toward chaos and self-destruction. The heart of Jesus is where we can find perspective in life – guiding us away from misery and bitterness.

Pray: Loving God, I desire to be united to your Most Sacred Heart. There are times when my life can feel so empty and aimless.  Fill me with hope. Let me hear your voice. Give me strength. Pour your love over my wounds. Heal my brokenness. Forgive me of my sins. Let me desire nothing more than to be immersed in the richness of your love and mercy. Amen.

WE BELIEVE, AND THEREFORE SPEAK (2 Corinthians 4:13)
