Mark 10:27

Jesus looked at them and said, “For men it is impossible, but not for God.  All things are possible for God”

Reflect: Have you ever been confronted by a situation where you feel helpless, as if you’re up against an impenetrable wall with no way to move forward?  Jesus understood that at some point in our earthly journey each of us would face those kind of circumstances. He also understood that human nature might be inclined to feel crushed, abandoned or forgotten in front of that helplessness.  But he asks us to trust; to let go and believe that his love and grace are sufficient – even in the face of the impossible!  He wants to reassure his followers that he never forgets us.

Pray: Loving God, help me to grow in my trust of you so that at the moment when I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I can live with the confidence and hope that you are with me, that you hear my prayer. Amen.

WE BELIEVE, AND THEREFORE SPEAK (2 Corinthians 4:13)
