 Luke 1:41-45

 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting,
the infant leaped in her womb,
and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit,
cried out in a loud voice and said,
“Most blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
And how does this happen to me,
that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears,
the infant in my womb leaped for joy.
Blessed are you who believed
that what was spoken to you by the Lord
would be fulfilled.”

Reflect: Mary entered the house of Elizabeth as a living tabernacle. She was carrying Jesus, and the impact of his presence was felt even from within the womb.  Mary never makes it about herself – she cares about us and visits us only to bring us Jesus. We are called to open our hearts to believe that in her tender, maternal way Mary wants us invite us to a deeper relationship with Jesus. She wants us to know and experience his presence as something real.

Pray: Loving God, help me to welcome Mary. Help me to know her love for me and her desire that I enter into a full relationship with her son, Jesus the Lord. Help me to not fear to welcome Mary and Jesus into my home, my life. Amen.

WE BELIEVE, AND THEREFORE SPEAK (2 Corinthians 4:13)
