Dear Friends,

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Malvern Retreat House has had to limit the number of retreatants who can be on-site. If you have already registered, you should have received an email explaining the status of the Flame of Love Retreat and asking whether you still wish to be on site, participate virtually or not at all this year.

Once we hear from all of those registered, we will determine who can be on-site based on registration date.

We are happy to announce that there will be a VIRTUAL OPTION for the Flame of Love retreat. If you are not registered, we invite you to register for the Virtual Flame of Love at a cost of $75. After we receive payment and your registration, the link with the instructions will be sent to you by 2pm on the day of the Retreat.

Thank you and God bless you!

FRIDAY JUNE 26th  @ 10:30am

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.

CHARISMATIC SCHEDULE

Virtual Charismatic Retreat. Malvern Retreat House along with the CCR will offer a revised program virtually. We are really excited that our speakers will still be able to participate virtually in this program.

The theme of the Retreat is “Challenges for Catholics in Today’s World”

How do I discern God’s will for my life?

What is Spiritual Warfare?

What is the Role of Angels for Charismatics?

How do I use Sacramental

The cost of this virtual program $25 per person. Once we receive your registration an email link to the Zoom information will be emailed to you along with the schedule.

Gloria Coyne is the host for this Retreat. She is the Bishop’s appointed Liaison for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Charismatic Renewal for over 15 years. She is was elected to serve on the Steering Committee for the Association of Diocesan Liaisons. She served ten years on the National Service Council and then elected to the National Service Committee in 2018.  At the Papal visit in Philadelphia, she was the local Administrator for the World Meeting of Families International Charismatic event.  As a Renewal Coordinator for the English-speaking groups, here in Philadelphia, she oversees over 80 prayer groups, Experiencing Full Life in the Spirit Seminars, Praise & Worship, Workshop events, Pentecost Vigil, annual Malvern Retreat and the Archdiocesan CCR Conference.

The Blessed Mother was instrumental in bringing Gloria Coyne back to the one, true faith in 1996.  That same year, she was Baptized in the Holy Spirit and experienced the fire of God’s love for her.  She asked the Lord to show her how to use her gifts and talents to serve Him and build up His Kingdom.  God took her up on her offer, and He has always provided new and exciting challenges in ministry and service. Over the years, she has developed a great devotion to the Holy Spirit.

She has served on the Board of Catholic Charities, is a professed 3rd order Franciscan and is on the Committee for the Archbishop’s Benefit for Children. Recently, she was invited in 2019  to the Vatican for the launch of CHARIS, an International Service of Communion.

Professionally, Gloria was one of the principles and founder of 2 healthcare technology companies, and she has the loving support of her husband Joe for over 37 years.  Gloria is a member of St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish in Bucks County, PA.

This retreat is another in a series of virtual retreats that Malvern is offering to help people during these challenging and stressful times.  Through conferences, prayer services and opportunities for questions and answers, you will be inspired to take heart and have courage.

This retreat is for everyone.  However, it is especially designed for those men and women who have been unable to attend their annual retreat.   This virtual retreat will count toward the total number of retreats you have already attended at Malvern.   To satisfy your weekend retreat, you will need to attend both evenings.  Other retreats like this will be offered in the future and will substitute for your annual retreat.  Please check the Malvern Retreat House web site for future offerings.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration is required. This retreat is being offered free of charge. However, Malvern would deeply appreciate a donation to help in these challenging times. Suggested donation is $50

A Virtual Women’s Tea

“Behold Your Mother: Living Spiritual Motherhood through the Heart of Our Lady”

A Virtual Women’s Tea

with Jen Settle, Director of Programming

for the Theology of the Body Institute

sponsored by Malvern Retreat House

Join Malvern Retreat House for our first “Virtual” Women’s Tea. The Coronavirus has given all of us an opportunity to find new ways to connect and engage with one another. And, now more than ever, we need community!

Through her fiat, Jesus was conceived in Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart before He was conceived in her womb. Our Lady’s spiritual motherhood preceded her biological motherhood. Join Jen Settle as she shares how Our Lady’s life models the feminine call to spiritual motherhood.

Malvern Retreat House will be using ZOOM to host this virtual Tea.

To Register for the Tea, please email  Tara McCormick tmccormick@malvernretreat.com.

After registration, you will receive an email with the link to enter the Zoom Meeting along with discussion questions.
