Malvern Retreat House
Your safety is our priority

COVID GUIDELINES

June 17, 2020

In March of this year, Malvern Retreat House closed our on-site facilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We have missed the hustle and bustle of a busy retreat house, and miss all of you, our friends, supporters and guests.

Chester County recently moved into the Green Phase of Pennsylvania’s reopening plan. We are pleased to share the good news that our tentative phased reopening date for on-campus retreats is July 15, 2020. We will open in a limited capacity with new protocols in place to ensure the safety of staff, retreatants and guests.

The Board of Directors of Malvern Retreat House has created a COVID-19 Task Force comprised of Board members and key staff focused on mapping out the specific procedures to reopen safely and prudently.

The Task Force has:

  • Implemented local, state, federal, and archdiocesan guidelines
  • Developed a comprehensive plan for  virtual and on-site retreat delivery
  • Established best practices for operations and facility procedures
  • Integrated an effective communication plan

In addition to the above-mentioned goals, a comprehensive fundraising initiative, MALVERN FORWARD, has been launched to ensure a healthy financial future for the Retreat House.

The beautiful setting of Malvern Retreat House, with its exquisite grounds, historic buildings and holy shrines, will remain a place to retreat from the worries of life to rediscover God’s peace and grow in relationship with Him!

This is an exciting time for Malvern Retreat House and we appreciate your understanding and patience. We are confident that your prayers and generosity have sustained us these last few months and we are deeply grateful!

MALVERN FORWARD: Together we can. With God’s grace, we will!
