The Divine Mercy Weekend retreat will offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Spiritual Conferences, Reconciliation, Silence & Devotions, including the Rosary & Divine Mercy chaplet. It will culminate with the Feast of Divine Mercy Sunday! Experience the peaceful grounds of St. Joseph’s in the Hills this Spring.

This is a coed Retreat and will be held in Upper McShain. In-person retreatants will stay at Our Lady’s Hall or St. Joseph’s Hall, in single rooms and shared bathrooms on each floor. Men and women will be roomed on different floors.

If you have any special needs (ie: room location due to medical reasons, dietary restrictions, etc.) please be sure to add to your registration.

This retreat is open to all men and women no matter your religion or group affiliation, new retreatants are welcome to attend.

Fr. Stephen DeLacy

Fr. Stephen DeLacy first learned about the process of discernment after hearing a Call from God to enter the Seminary and become a priest.  He developed this skill in the spirituality year at St Charles Borromeo Seminary—a year dedicated to spiritual formation and personal growth.  Before his current assignment, he guided young men in discerning God’s will to enter the Seminary while serving as Vocation Director. He is currently the Vicar for Faith Formation with Youth and Young Adults for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Kathleen McCarthy is President of In His Sign Catholic Radio Network, a Retreat Director, and Published Author.  Her current books are titled In The Silence of My Heart. These writings, spanning over ten years of prophetic locutions, have received the Imprimatur and Nihil Obstat of the Catholic Church. Kathleen is also a world-renowned Catholic Evangelist and has led a healing Apostolate for over four decades.  Her message is focused on the “Fire of the Holy Spirit” and the Real Presence of Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist. Kathleen has dynamic gifts of Preaching, Teaching, Healing, and of bringing the Sacred Scriptures to life through her story-telling. Kathleen has been hosting a daily radio program for close to two decades which can be seen live on Facebook as well.

Bishop Efren V. Esmilla

Bishop Efren V. Esmilla was born on June 18, 1962 to the late Cristobal and Crispina Esmilla. Prior to entering the program of priestly formation at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from San Beda College in Manila, the Philippines, in 1984. He earned a Master of Divinity degree at the seminary in 1992 and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on May 15, 1993.

Bishop Esmilla has provided pastoral ministry at several archdiocesan parishes, served in several roles at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, and served as the spiritual director for the Legion of Mary and chaplain of the archdiocesan Filipino Apostolate since 2005. He has also served as Regional Dean of Deanery 12 (Lower Northeast Philadelphia) and on the archdiocesan Continuing Formation Committee for Priests, the Council of Priests, the College of Consultors, and the Priest Personnel Board. He has served as pastor of Saint Martin of Tours Parish in Philadelphia since 2021.

He was appointed an Auxiliary Bishop of Philadephia by Pope Francis and ordained by Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez on March 7, 2024.

Bishop Esmilla is entrusted with pastoral care of Episcopal Region IV of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, which encompasses the parishes of the City of Philadelphia.
