Retreat Directors and Speakers

Retreat Director

Fr. Stephen DeLacy

Fr. Stephen DeLacy first learned about the process of discernment after hearing a Call from God to enter the Seminary and become a priest.  He developed this skill in the spirituality year at St Charles Borromeo Seminary—a year dedicated to spiritual formation and personal growth.  Before his current assignment, he guided young men in discerning God’s will to enter the Seminary while serving as Vocation Director. He is currently the Vicar for Faith Formation with Youth and Young Adults for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Speaker

Augustus (Gus) Desimone

Gus Desimone (West Chester, PA) has been writing and performing music for over 15 years. His latest project is called Saints Alive: concerts that provide a space for Catholic musicians and artists to showcase their work. He has written over 50 songs about the Saints, Mary, the Psalms, the Eucharist, and his own spiritual journey that he uses to both teach the faith, and lead others to prayer. His music is informed by his theological formation at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary where he received a Masters in Divinity and Philosophical Studies. He also has extensive public speaking experience in his time as a Generation Life missionary, teaching the Pro-Life and Chastity messages. Aside from his music and speaking engagements, Gus also runs his own Video Production company Gusdmedia, which specializes in visual storytelling for Churches, schools, weddings and non-profits alike. He is also part of an artist collective in conjunction with Saints Alive that is creating music and art based on the theology of the Eucharist that will be shown in a special edition Saints Alive concert series called “True Presence”. His goal is to see the Saints Alive concert series spread throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and beyond.
