Legion Of Mary – 2026

Fr. Gonzalez was born in 1989 in Sonsonate El Salvador and moved to the United States at the age of 12.  After high school he entered formation in Madrid Spain and then later as a seminarian in the Arlington Diocese. He is now stationed in All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas Virginia and is priest in charge of St. Gabriel’s mission in Manassas Park.

He grew up in a parish hearing about the Legion of Mary and in 2017 while a seminarian started as chaplain to the Spanish presidia at St. Leo the Great Church in Fairfax. He continues his role with the Legion at the Presidia at St. Gabriel’s mission and the Curia of Pring William.

Father Pineda was ordained by the Most Reverend Paul Loverde for the Diocese of Arlington, Virginia, on June 7, 2014. He has served as a parish priest in different parishes and, for the last three years, as a full-time student at Divine Mercy University. Father Pineda describes his relationship with the Blessed Virgin Mary as a key in his spiritual life. She is, for him, a loving and caring mother, a companion on his earthly pilgrimage, and in his priestly life and ministry. Fr. Pineda is a great supporter of the Legion of Mary. He admires how the legionaries help Catholic lay people fulfill their baptismal promise in an organized structure supported by fraternity and prayer.
