In 2001, a fundraising campaign began to raise the money necessary to supplement Sr. Pauline’s donation. This campaign, named the Founders of the Future, raised a total of $8 million. $5.9 million was used to construct the McShain-Horstmann Family Life Center, which allowed Malvern Retreat House to accommodate family groups for the first time.
