Carmina Chapp, Ph.D.

August 2, 2017

Dr. Carmina Chapp is a Catholic theologian, educator and speaker who, with her husband Larry, started the Dorothy Day Catholic Worker Farm in 2013. Having learned of Dorothy Day and the Catholic Worker Movement during her undergraduate years at the University of Notre Dame, she admired the radical nature of Day’s commitment to her faith, and was inspired to try to imitate it. Led by the Spirit, she earned her doctorate at Duquesne University, and began her academic career at DeSales University. She then served as Academic Dean at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. She presently works from her farm for Saint Joseph’s College Online Theology Programs. She enjoys shearing her sheep and spinning their wool.
