Malvern Retreat House is the oldest and largest Catholic retreat community in the country. Each year, we hold more than 250 retreats, reflections, and special events designed to fulfill the spiritual needs of people seeking to deepen their relationship with Christ. The Retrouvaille of Delaware Valley Program is designed for couples who struggle with communicating effectively with each other causing pain and loneliness in their marriage. It is designed for couples in any stage of marriage breakdown – from daily frustration caused by poor communication habits to those considering separation or divorce.
Some couples come to Retrouvaille of Delaware Valley during the initial signs of a marriage problem. Other couples are already in a state of despair and hopelessness when they attend. Retrouvaille of Delaware Valley offers help for both situations.

The Retreat Director for the retreat has been a member of AA for many years and will be offering a weekend program exploring Steps 6 & 7 focusing on the origins of our character defects and how we can surmount them and live a peaceful life with ourselves and others.
Our Matt Talbot Retreats are held on designated weekends and devote time for spirituality in recovery from alcoholism. Our retreats bring together a group of recovering alcoholics in a setting that promotes fellowship and sharing throughout the weekend.
Most retreats focus on one broad topic for the weekend. Our retreat masters are usually both recovering alcoholics and members of the clergy, which brings valuable insight into the spiritual realm of alcoholism.
As a group of recovering alcoholics, we recognized the need for a connection with a power greater than ourselves. Our solution is to use the Matt Talbot spiritual retreat weekend to find how to utilize the tools suggested in the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Our retreats offer conferences, discussion group break-out sessions, AA meetings, one-on one’s and the celebration of the Eucharist. The Matt Talbot Retreats are non-denominational, ecumenical, and are spiritual, rather than specifically religious. All faiths are welcome. A retreat for women searching for healing and wholeness in their feminine identity.
This retreat, designed and offered for women of every state in life, explores a woman’s identity before God, as daughter, life in communion, as sister, self-gift, as bride, and fruitfulness, as mother. These identities are not stages of a woman’s life, but dimensions present in every woman, regardless of vocation.
This retreat is open to any woman in any state in life. Included are opportunities for small groups for married, single/divorced, or religious women.
Our journey into the feminine heart will have the example of Our Lady, the writings of Pope Saint John Paul II, and the saints as our guides. We will prayerfully explore God’s beautiful design for femininity, how we can encounter healing in our fallen femininity, so we can answer our call to “Arise, shine, for your light has come” (Isaiah 60:1).

This retreat is open to all men no matter your religion or group affiliation, new retreatants are welcome to attend.
Please consider taking some time to draw nearer to our Lord in a peaceful setting, away from the many distractions that cloud our world. As men of faith, we need to come together and rejuvenate our relationship with Christ. Come to the peaceful grounds known as “St. Joseph’s in the Hills.” Sit in silence before our Lord in one of the adoration chapels. Walk the Stations of the Cross. Spend some time in quiet contemplation at the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto. Pray and reconnect with our Lord.
